International Summer School of Rural Development

Adult and Continuing Education Unit (AIKOPA) of Kajaani University Consortium organises the SummerSchool of Rural Development “Nature and modern countryside; treasures or threats?” in MekrijärviFinland. The summer school is a part of the second Nordic Conference for Rural Research in Joensuu(see: http://www.mua.fi/ruralattheedge/).

The summer school starts during the Nordic Conference and theparticipants of summer school get ex‐ante tasks. There will be a bus connection for the summer schoolparticipants from Joensuu to Mekrijärvi and back. All the lessons and hosting are in Mekrijärvi. Studytrips will be made from Mekrijärvi.If you participate the Rural at the Edge ‐ Nordic conference for rural research in Joensuu, stay littlelonger and enjoy the interesting lessons, inspirational and intensive study trips and exotic atmosphereof Mekrijärvi research station (see: http://www.uef.fi/mekri)! Of course you can participate only theSummer School without participating the Nordic conference. The Summer School is targeted to ruraldevelopers, researchers, students and administration.
