Description (brief history)

Northern Ireland LEADER Network founded in 1995 as an amalgam of LAGs within rural development sector, is involved in coordination of local integrated strategies, and assists social partners to shape new rural policy design at the appropriate level to underpin leader model of delivery.

Activities

- Conduit for LAGs interests to political parties
- delivery of networking within UK, Ireland, Europe
- management of farm diversification programmes
- representation on EU monitoring committees
- coordinate policy responses to government
