Description (brief history)
The Irish LEADER Network is a network of 36 Local Action Groups/ it operates within a legal co-operative framework, underpinned by a co-operative philosophy and mission.
Activities
Monthly meetings, Organising Seminars on Topical issues effecting LAGS Exchange of Information and good practice, Represent our members with the Ministry and European Commission on the guidelines and rollout of the LEADER. Manage Skillsnet Training Prog, for Small Food Companies. Represent the LEADER Groups on a number of Management / Monitoring Committees including the Rural Social Scheme. Promoting LEADER prog. at National and International level.

Aims & Objectives
The Irish LEADER Network’s Primary Aim is acting in union with member groups and with other relevant interest, to promote innovative models foe local integrated rural development and to shape policies at Irish and European level to underpin these models.
